Route description

NY 128 begins in the hamlet of Armonk at NY 22. It runs through the town center of North Castle following Main Street. NY 128 then turns west, passing by the southeastern corner of the town of New Castle and Wampus Pond, then turns north again ultimately ending at NY 117 along Park Avenue in the village of Mount Kisco. Most of NY 128 is also known as Armonk – Mount Kisco Road.

History

NY 128 was assigned as part of the 1930 renumbering of state highways in New York.[1] In the mid-1930s, NY 128 was extended southward to the Connecticut state line by way of an overlap with NY 22 and Greenwich Road.[3][4] It was truncated back to its current southern terminus in the early 1970s. The former routing of NY 128 south of NY 22 was redesignated as NY 433.[5][6]

Major intersections

The entire route is in Westchester County.
